This is a concentrated online morning of zazen, chanting, bodywork, and breath. It is not an all-day retreat. The aim is to ground yourself and step into your life with clarity rather than stress. Our emphasis is kiai — the unified energy that arises when body, breath, and voice work as one. Practicing together online builds a collective resonance that supports each person’s own sitting. Zen practice softens the obstructions of dualistic seeing and loosens mental fixations, allowing a more integrated and clear state of mind to emerge.
A detailed schedule by time zone is below. The first zazen at 7:00 AM CT is open to the public through the Daily Zazen link. And then we’ll switch to the Zazenkai link you’ll receive in your email. Please bring your own tea.
After the training, from 12-1 PM CT, we spend one hour on a detailed, practical exploration of Zen Leader Flip #9, From Local Self to Whole Self. This flip invites you to expand your identity from the tiny, isolated ego, the token on the chessboard, to the broader field, the game itself, both wave and ocean. We work with it directly, through the body and through real leadership situations, so you can carry it into your work and daily life.
