Wandering Ox Dojo's Fall Sesshin will be held at Roselidden Farm, Trevenen Bal, Helston, Cornwall. This is a formal four-day period of intensive Zen training and meditation practice. The creative and contemplative disciplines woven into our training include Zazen, Mu-I Tai Chi, Yoga, and Shodō. Previous experience of meditation or zazen is strongly recommended.
Roselidden Farm sits among the quiet landscapes of west Cornwall, in an area once shaped by the region's historic tin-mining industry. The granite buildings date from this period and have served many purposes over the centuries, including as a farmhouse and, during the Second World War, accommodation for officers from the nearby Royal Naval Air Station at Culdrose. Today, the buildings have been carefully restored as a sustainable community venue and place of practice, supporting both individual training and the wider local community.
Accommodation is available in the Long Barn and Hayloft, with shared kitchen and shower facilities. Camping is also available on site. Practice may take place both within the buildings and, weather permitting, in the surrounding grounds.
Meals are prepared and shared as part of the rhythm of the retreat. We are usually able to accommodate most dietary requirements and allergies. Please include any dietary needs when you book so that we can make suitable arrangements.
Four days of practice, silence, and kinship - following the ox trail together.

We suggest a contribution of £275 (for accommodation & food) to support the running of this event and the continuing work of Wandering Ox. At the heart of our work is a commitment to inclusion and generosity. If the suggested amount is beyond your means, please be in touch. We would rather find a way to welcome you than have cost stand in the way of participation.
